Working in collaboration with his Uncle under the name Adamson & Scott, at the dawn of the Industrial Age, Peter Scott created and patented unshrinkable knitwear. Using the 'Pesco' brand name, his company offered functionality and comfort in unshrinkable knitwear; truly an innovation in the 1870s. Peter Scott is recognised as a Victorian entrepreneur, philanthropist and innovator.
